Organic Goodness
Organic food bins all year round!!! Thanks Kris for the link.
3 years ago Reilly and I joined a CSA (Community Supported Aggriculture) organic farm. Basically, we paid $300 in May for a share for the year and each week throughout the summer we got a large bin full of fresh farm grown organic veggies. It was great. The only downfalls were that we had too much food, that we had an hour of washing to do as soon as we got home from picking up our stuff, and that the growing season ends early here.
Kris came across Sunshine Organics yesterday and I’ve already put in my order. Sunshine Organics is a new business and they provide bins of fresh organic veggies and fruits weekly, biweekly, or monthly. The bonus here is that we can choose biweekly instead of weekly (to give us more time to eat all that food!), that the veggies are pre-washed, delivery is included, and they are super flexible and can do substitutions and such. And, it’s a good price. $33 every two weeks is fine by me to have a large bin of fresh organic goodness delivered right to my home.
I’ll take a picture of all my food come Thursday when I get my first bunch so you can all see how much you’re missing out on. Then, you can all call Sunshine Organics and help out a small business while feeding you and your family healthy organic food!
There is one like that here that I am thinking of joining
But, we are looking at moving to a place where we would help out with the family organic garden in exchange for food!

See, that would work for me, except I am a hippy with icky-bug issues!
I believe Sunshine Organics started in BC.

I have been looking for a service like this for awhile – it’s sounds perfect. Thanks! I am going to wait until it warms up a little so that the food delivered doesn’t freeze in case we aren’t around when it is delivered.
