Haha, thanks for the feedback :)

See, I know there are all sorts of ways to avoid spam - that part is easy. It's the fact that Ikea - a large, otherwise-to-me-well-respected-company - is causing it and making it hard to leave that's the surprise, and annoyance!

I actually have all of my mail filtered through gmail for the excellent spam filtering, and because I can also setup rules there similar to your setup I can stop whatever I want from ever getting to me.

The spam itself isn't the issue, just the principal :)

Hey Miranda!

Just reading your new blog -- great URL by the by -- and saw this post. Since it's the web you're having issues with, it's something I can contribute to - unlike anything photography related. :)

Anyhow, something you might want to check out is http://safersignup.com. Basically they give you a mail alias that you can use, by prefixing some meaningful ID to the front of. For this comment post, for instance, I used sassycontessa.eddieparker@safersignup.com. They then redirect that e-mail to my 'protected' e-mail.

The great thing is, say you started spamming me and wouldn't let me unsubscribe -- I just go to http://safersignup.com, and put this mail alias on a 'blocked' list, and voila - the e-mail never gets to my door.

This way your shiny perfect e-mail address never gets excess spam, and you can shut spam down before it gets anywhere near your account.

Hope that helps.
