You Stole My Words

Dear Photographer,

Nice work but it’s awfully unfortunate that you can’t write your own content. Please do not steal our words – changing a few things and calling it your own hurts, and is dishonest. It feels like you spit on my shoe.

Go be your own person. It’s sad that you have to copy from us.

** update: This photographer has emailed us and updated her sites, and has apologized for her actions. Other than the screenshot, I’ve update my post to dissuade Google from continuing to show this post rather than her site as the first site returned on a search for her company name.

  2. sigh. why do people do this, why why why … the amount of work it takes to steal from someone else is so much better developing yourself. i know what this feels like and it sucks to read your words on someone else’s site ~ i had a complete poem and photo stolen in this way and it hurt a lot.

    i am so sorry this happened to you two. don’t people understand how hard you work, sigh.

    They are asshats. [fist shake]

    Though, I think my favourite part was “And I swear, I could really write in full sentences.”

  9. Argh!! That is sooo frustrating!!! Having had my graphics stolen in the past I know how much it sucks and just gets your hackles up instantly.
    I’m glad she changed it but still- the nerve of it! Karma’s a bitch- she’ll get it back tenfold.
