Tofino day one
The first half of our party has arrived and we are settled into our ocean front cabin on the rocks – the same place we stayed last November. Fridge full of food and beer, beds and floor sleeping areas allocated to the party of 8 we are cramming into a cabin not meant for so many people, and the guitars are out.
The greatest thing about getting away for the weekend is that you can just forget about all the work and stress and crap that exists at home and just…. relax.
Of course, we are actually here to shoot a wedding tomorrow but they are a great couple and we’ll be with them for just a few hours for the ceremony, and we’ll be seeing them again next weekend in Vancouver for the much larger reception. I don’t consider the shooting part of what we do to be stressful, so this part doesn’t take away from our weekend.
So – Reilly, myself, Darren, Amanda, Josh & Shan, Kimli & Ed and occasionally Dave & Amelia (who actually live in Tofino and for whom we do not need to find floor space) are here for the weekend. Well, we’ll all be here in a couple of hours when the last half of our party arrives.
The cameras haven’t come out yet so I’ll leave you with a photo from our last trip!

It sounds (and looks!) lovely!
